Deep Dish With Nick: Dinner in Chicago with Nicholas Brendon
Nicholas Brendon will be at Chicago Comic Con Aug. 19-22! You’ll be able to purchase autographs and meet him at the convention.
Want more? Here’s your chance! We’re bringing our meet-and-greets to Illinois.
THE WHEN: 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 20
THE WHERE: In the Rosemont, Ill., area. Ticket holders will be informed of the exact location prior to the event. Everyone else has to wonder.
THE PRICE: $100 per ticket.
THE HOW MANY: 25 tickets are available.
THE HOW: Purchase tickets now, and you’ll be put on the guest list. Later, you’ll receive a confirmation email that will include the location. Print that out, show up and you’re in!
Q: How long will tickets to the meet and greet be available?
A: Until they sell out, or until noon (PST), Aug. 18.
Q: Is there an age limit on the meet and greet?
A: Anyone under 18 should plan on coming with a ticket-holding guardian/adult.
Q: What do you get?
A: Dinner, one autographed item, what’s currently the only guaranteed photo opportunity with Nicholas during his time in Illinois, and lots of face time with him.
Q: Can you take photos? Videos?
A: You can bring a camera, but we request that no audio or video recordings be taken during the event. Anyone doing so will be asked to leave.
Q: What if you buy a ticket but can’t attend?
A: Unfortunately, all sales are final.

This will be the most important event in the history of Chicago or, indeed, possibly the world. As I have never been known to exaggerate, everyone between the ages of casino legal and death should strongly consider purchasing a ticket.

Finally, Nicky’s gonna be close-ish to me (I’m in WI) but I’m flat busted. I mean I’m broke. Silly me went and bought a house, so now my fun money is non-existent. Oh well. I’m passing the good news on to my two IL Whedon friends, so hopefully one or both of them can attend.

Well, turns out my two friends are in the same broke boat.
Xander’s my second favorite male Scooby. (Giles is first; I met Tony back in 2005 at Motor City Buffy.) My heart just melted all over again re-watching that speech he gives Dawn at the end of “Potential.”
Oh, and I might be the only person in the world who didn’t think that Killer Fireball From Space movie written by Shatner was all that bad.
