Nicholas Brendon Audioblog Update Feb. 15, 2010
Hello, everybody. This is Nicholas Brendon calling you, for a couple reasons.
So, A: I haven’t called for a while.
Couple: I really haven’t called for a while. I’m trying to think if I’ve called since England. I think I may have called once.
I did the one-man show, so that took a lot of my time, and a lot of my spunk. Took a lot of my spunk with me, as well. All of my sperm went into this gay, one-man show. And then I started doing another play, so that’s where I’m at now.
I am calling you, though, because I’m doing a play right now, as I just said – trying to load it up – and I’m actually doing a meet and greet. A fan meet and greet, which my beautiful webmaster, Jacqui, is organizing for us – but I’m trying to get to the details right now. But my computer is being very slow. Oh, you’re being so bad, computer. Really? What happened? Technology. Remember rotary phones? Remember, “Hollywood, 424,” and all the sudden you were talking to your corner pharmacy?
All right, here we go: So … hold on. This isn’t even where I needed to go. Sorry guys – I’m going to give you details. Um – how’s everyone doing? Great. I’m also doing remarkably well. I’m just trying to find what I need to say here … let’s see. OK. I found it.
So. Anywho. So, I’m doing a meet and greet for people – either you can come to the show or not come to the show. The show is called Why Torture Is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them. I play Reverend Mike – I’m a reverend, who also directs porn. But, the day of the big event, of the meet and greet, is … March 13. At around 10:30 [p.m.]. We are going to be meeting at a restaurant, it’s just kind of “undisclosed,” right now.
And, so, I think – I’m not really quite sure how … tickets are, I think, around $75? And then we have money going to charity, and then … I don’t know. Jacqui’s in Taiwan, right now, so she wanted me to audioblog about this.
So, it’s the 13th, we know. And, you know what, we’ll take as many people as want to come. You know, Jacqui said between 15 and 20, but if there are people who, you know, if we have more than that, then we will accommodate everybody who wants to do this thing. Again, I apologize for the … God, I wish “retarded” wasn’t non-P.C., because I’m going to say “the retardedness,” because I’m concerned about being politically correct. I’m sorry about the retardedness of this audioblog, because all I know is that it’s going to be in Hollywood, California – Hollywood and Highland, by the Kodak Theater, where they do the Oscars. March 13th, 10:30, after the show.
Tickets [Jacqui note: To the play] are not included in the price of the meet and greet, however, you can purchase them over at the Blank Theatre. But, yeah, I would love to, y’know, we kind of came up with a little fan meet and greet. So, I think anyone who wants to come, if you can, I think maybe go to NickBrendon.com, I think there’ll be more information there, and let’s see how many people we can get here, you know?
Again, March 13th, after the show. The show ends around 10:20, so I’ll be available from 10:30 on. Ummmm … it’s so funny, I’m just, like, reading Jacqui’s notes. I twittered about it. … Kind of. She says, when: March 13, 10:30. Where: “I’m not sharing that with people yet” – but she did make a reservation! …
So, as far as I know, I think if you go to NickBrendon.com dot…
PART 2:
Hey, this is Nicky again. I was cut off.
So yes, so this thing is very real. 13th. Meet and greet. And, that’s all I wanted to say. So please come and see me! Y’know, see the play or not see the play. But, we’re going to be getting together, from walking distance from where the play is. On the 13th of March.
So, sign up people. Fly in from out of town. That’s it. That’s all I got. That’s all I got. Maybe Nina Dodson can fly in from out of town and say hi. So, yeah, OK. Talk to you soon – bye.

Sounds like Santaland was more intense than any of us knew. Acting can break your balls. Spread awareness, people.
So, there’s this meet and greet. In Hollywood. On the thirteenth. After the show. Somewhere.
Vague yet promising. Think I’ll check it out.
I would love to come to the meet and greet !! But I live so far (in France) ! Nick come in France please
! Kisses
Loving your tweets Nick sadly am on other side of pond would love to see you here in Ireland best wishes for the meet and greet . Hugs from Heather
To do a meet and greet is a great idea. I can not be there. I live too far -( .
I would have loved to be present. I wish you have a good time.
I love listening to your voice messages. I appreciate this attention. Nick, thank you very much .
may i say… if you can, come to both the play and the meet n greet on 3/13. the play is HILARIOUS. and the meet n greet is going to be lots of fun.
Nick as Rev. Mike… well, he gave away part of it, but trust me- even with this lil bit of info, when the character comes out… my sides still hurt.
and i could hint that i know the venue and it will be lots of fun, but i don’t want Jacqui getting mad at me.
Just returned from LA last week and had the chance of seeing Nick in the play. I do have to say it was a hilarious experience. I do definitely recommend to go and see the play if you have the chance.
Already got excited before my trip about the date of the meet&greet since for a while I thought it was just when I was in LA. Too bad the date I went to see the play was 13th of February *g* Unfortunately can’t afford to make a second trip to LA this soon. It’s a bit too far away.
I wish I weren’t so very out of work at the moment while also being on the wrong coast.
I noticed that, in November, Nicky asked if anyone had film of The Santaland Diaries. If anyone did film him, is there any chance we might see a bit of it here on the site now that it’s past and wouldn’t hurt ticket sales?
Best wishes on the new play and the event.
We’re in the midst of another Snowpocalypse here in Jersey and I’m envious of anyone in California right now.
Nick and Jacqui:
Just wanted to say “hi” and flying from NYC just to meet you! I’m uber-physched like a Tasmanian Devil, except I can complete sentences.
I just reread my comment and apparently can’t spell psyched. Well, now I can. 7more days! Arrrg! Waiting sucks!
I hope everyone who is lucky enough to go has a blast I’m sure you all will. Wish I was one of the lucky ppl to go. Hopefully in the near future. Take care!
