I have a followup to my previous question of “Where do you want to see Nicholas Brendon in 2010?” And those of you who voted for Florida are going to like it:
Nick has signed on to appear at EyeCon’s BloodLust Vampire Festival, scheduled for May 7-9 in Orlando! James Leary and Camden Toy are also on the guest list. Tickets go on sale Monday — who’s going?
And for those of you on the other side of the country: The Blank Theatre Co.’s Why Torture Is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them starts tonight! Are you going this weekend? If you don’t have tickets yet, you can still get them from OvationTix.

Nicholas Brendon has joined the cast of The Blank Theatre Co.’s upcoming Why Torture Is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them. The play will run from Jan. 30 to March 14, at the Stella Adler Theatre in Los Angeles.
From the Blank’s Web site:
Christopher Durang turns political humor upside down with this raucous and provocative satire about America’s growing homeland “insecurity.” A young woman is suddenly in crisis: Is her new husband, whom she married when drunk, a terrorist? Or just crazy? Or both? Is her father’s hobby of butterfly collecting really a cover for his involvement in a shadow government? Why does her mother enjoy going to the theatre so much? Does she seek mental escape, or is she insane? Honing in on our private terrors both at home and abroad, Durang oddly relieves our fears in this black comedy for an era of yellow, orange and red alerts.
Tickets are available now!

Many of you have written in about how you’d love to see Nicholas Brendon in 2010 at Hallowhedon 2 and especially conventions in the U.S. Well, I just told Nick all about that, and he’d like to make your wishes come true! But where should he go? What do you want to see him at? That’s where you come in.
Do you know of any conventions coming up in your area that we should look into? Are you in charge of booking for a convention or event, and would like to inquire about his availability? Obviously, while I’ve received some ideas about things, I can’t know of everything happening everywhere — so I need your help!
Post your suggestions below, or email them to appearances@nickbrendon.com. The address is also open for anyone who’d like to inquire about his availability for events.
