Did you meet Nicholas Brendon at Hallowhedon? Going to 'Santaland'?
Nicholas was at Hallowhedon this weekend — did you go? If so, here’s an open thread to share your stories, pictures, videos — whatever!
For the rest of us — don’t forget you can order tickets to The Blank Theatre Company‘s production of The Santaland Diaries. The play runs Nov. 20-Dec. 20.

I spoke to him briefly – don’t remember the conversation as I was at the end of an enthusuastic liver pickling session. He made me laugh on stage. I especially enjoyed the answers the question guy was getting nervous about.

OK, first of all, thanks to the three of you and anyone else who posts on this site. I truly appreciate that you take the time to do so.
That being said, I’m going to undoubtedly beat someone to the punch and say feel free to share stories, details, pictures, videos, etc.! What was he saying that made the question guy nervous? (I can guess, but I figure I should ask.)

This actually made me do one of those attractive bark laughs over someone’s exposed neck: ‘We don’t really have paedaphilia in the states – we have Catholic priests instead’.
I’m a journalist – I’m writing a review of the weekend – I’ll send you a link when it’s published online if you’d like. Nick and James Masters were charming, attentive and professional. James seemed go be in a great deal of pain so I was touched he didn’t just go home. Nick made very er friendly party appearances that everyone had fun gossiping about the next day. They’ll get glowing write ups from me.

I had the best weekend ever at Hallowhedon, and Nick’s question session was great. I asked Nick how he felt about the relationship that’s going on between Xander and Dawn in Season 8 Buffy, and he was shocked to say the least. I didn’t think he’d know about it, and he said it was really creepy and it seemed to make him uncomfortable- well, probably about as uncomfortable as I felt when I read the comic…a controversial choice for Xander! I loved the reactions of the guy reading the questions. I think Nick mentioned the word ‘paedophile’ several times. Several, several times. Also, he seemed to be enjoying his chair a bit too much. I think. He was hilarious!

Had lovely time at Hallowhedon. Only just got back home. Enjoyed Nick’s talks very much and had a chance to talk with him a little in the parties as well. It was lovely seeing him there interacting with people, singing karaoke for us and riding a pumpkin in Saturday’s Halloween party. Also had the chance to spend 45 minutes chatting with him (and 11 other people) in one of the guest encounters.
It was nice seeing him doing the Snoopy dance for us twice during the weekend. He also seems to keep a lot of stuff in his pockets
All in all it was a great weekend. Many thanks to Nick for being there!

Hi. I had a great weekend at Hallowhedon and Nick was undoubtedly the highlight. I was lucky enough to be in one of his ‘guest encounters’ where we discussed chicken pox and a mutual fear of midgets. He was charming, funny, and a genuine guy who really seemed to enjoy talking to fans which he demonstrated by voluntarily attending the parties. It was so great meeting him and I hope to do so again in the future. I had never been to a convention before but because of Nick I wouldn’t hesitate to go to another. If he goes back to Hallowhedon next year then so will I.
Thanks for going Nick, you made my weekend (and in turn I made my friends birthday for buying her an encounter with you, not sure if i will be able to top it next year though)

The man is made of awesome, and I’m really glad I got to meet him. Since I never liked Xander (or rather was never a fan), the fact that I am now a Nick fan really says a lot.
Hope I get to see him again next year! (or that a con will magically take place in Greece…)

Nick was really great. This was my first time meeting Nick (or any of the Whedonverse cast) and my first con so i was very excited and nervous.
Meeting him at the wine reception was fantastic. He was so down to earth and friendly. I was too shy to really say anything but i thoroughly enjoyed it.
He was soooo funny during the talks. I submitted two questions about the blog and one of them was chosen so i was happy about that (it was if he would be posting a blog about the weekend – he said he would) and huge thanks to Nick for inviting us to use the flash on our cameras (we were only supposed to use flash for the first minute of each talk) during the snoopy dance, very cool of him.
I can’t remember ever laughing as much as i did this weekend. It was so great to see him at the parties too and made a great weekend even more special.
Nick if you’re reading this, I hope you enjoyed the weekend. You brought a hell of a lot of joy into a lot of peoples lives this weekend and the memories of it will continue to bring happiness. Thank you.

Hi to all & Nick
I went to Hallowhedon, it was my 6th time meeting Nick and I just thought he was awesome.
My fav part was the guest encounter with him on Sunday. I got to sit next to him and I loved his stories about trying to learn his lines for the his new play and the ski “injury” that he sustained whilst on hiatus from Buffy – so funny.
After listening to his blog I brought him a stephen king book to read on the plane although after what he was saying about his lines, that may have been a bad idea. Anyway I hope he enjoys it.
Thanks for making the weekend so great Nick

Hi Nick and everybody else!
I had never met Nick before but what a guy! I met him first in the lobby of the Sheraton, where I basically stumbled on him. He was so cool! He stayed and talked to me, even though he didn’t have to, won a lot of “amazing”-points with me then!
After that I met him a few times through the weekend, both making a fool of myself, and clearing it up again! Emotional rollercoaster to say the least! (o:
Unfortunately I had to go back home to Sweden before the photos with Nick came back from development, so now I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that nobody looses that envelope in the mail!
A great weekend and I really hope that Nick decides to come back to the UK or Europe again!
Love
Cecilia

helIo Nick and everyone.
I was at hallowhedon.
I have been seduced by Nick, he is lovely, warm and funny. There were so many people who spoke to him that I dared not go to him. I waited for the end of the convention to say him that I loved to listen his voice to the audio blog. I’m French and I forgot my words, he has been patient and we managed to understand with the participation of my sister. I am very pleased that short time. I also liked the pictures taken with him, he was warm and spontaneous.
His interviews were hilarious; her happy to talk with fans, stays with us in the evenings were great moments.
It brought me much happiness this weekend.
I hope the weekend has brought much joy.
Nick, you are a great man and ” un bel homme” .
Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Nick was such an amazing guest at Hallowhedon!
He was really laid back and seemed to enjoy being there and meeting everyone, he took the time to chat to everyone at the autograph table and was hilariuos on stage.
i was lucky enough to have dinner with Nick, Mercedes and James Leary on saturday night, and had a lovely chat with him! He was talking about his upcoming work, buffy and the cast. The funniest thing was when he got freaked out by his leg of lamb as it was till on the bone! He’s such a sweet guy
I also loved seeing him at the parties, her was there for hours chatting to everyone! Loved his Karaoke and his session the the Bucking Pumpkin!!!
Such a nice friendly guy! Cant wait to meet hime again

Nick was easily the coolest guy there, I don’t think there was a moment I saw him where he wasn’t somehow able to make everyone laugh. I was one of the fortunates who got to have a guest encounter and he told a few brilliant stories that I don’t think it’s right to put here, plus he talked a lot about the play he ws doing which sounds incredably awesome. He was so happy to sign a photo for my friend who couldn’t be there and he was in general the nicest guy I’ve met. Seeing the Snoopy Dance was a highlight and thanks for putting up the kareoke clips, I was ill that night so I was ticked the I missed it, so thankyou for putting it up. All in all nick ruled, bring on Nick at Hallowhedon 2

Nick was an absolutely amazing guy and I had the pleasure of a few chats with him. I was lucky enough to be one of the first to spot Nick at the drinks reception and we had a joke about the wine being quite bad – had a good chat for 5 minutes then I let some other people through so they could talk. On the way out my sister spotted Nick walking past and she told him I was his biggest fan and he came over and gave me a massive hug which was awesome – he completely made my night. The next day we were waiting for autographs and he walked past us and gave us a massive grin and said Hi – very chuffed he remembered us
the signing etc again was a pleasure and he was really nice and the talk with Merecedes was one of the funniest things Ive seen. On the Sat night I built up the courage to go and say hello and we spend a good 20 minutes in an indepth chat about him nearly getting the spiderman role and generally just talking and joking and taking the mick out of each other. I could go on all day day but to sum up he definately made my weekend and now I can’t wait til Hallowhedon 2.

Hello everyone,
already recognised some of the people who beat me in posting here (heya Elspeth and Gin!). It was my frist time meeting Nick and already on the first evening, Nick ad his PA Roxy mady my head tomato like red. Not sure if I can qoute the whole thing (webadmin, please check with Nick on this one, he MUST surely remember it) but it had something to do with a button and euh, something big (as Nick put it)…
Nick was a true gentlemen, although I guess at one point when he was questioning Mercedes she’d rather have him quiet for a minute or two…
I will have to upload my pictures, so can’t embed them yet… Did upload some to my facebook. Wanna befriend me and see the pictures: just search for SuperCynni
Will check back later when I have some pics to post.
NICK please think about coming back for Hallowhedon 2
Thanks for the great time!

I was lucky to made it to a guest encounter with Nick on Saturday, and it was just GREAT, I think some of us were nervous, but he turned the conversation the way that everyone had a chance to say few words, and it was a blast!!!!

Did anyone hear Nick say anything about Sweet Lorraine, his new movie? Imdb says it is FILMING as we speak. If he is in Europe and it is FILMING in New York City, what is going on here? Is he ACTUALLY in Sweet Lorraine or what?

It was great meeting Nick at Hallowhedon! He was such a fun person to be around! I was one of the very few Americans there and he nicknamed me Jersey and was super friendly the whole weekend! I wish he did more events near home so I could see him again! His Snoopy Dance was one of the highlights of the weekend. My sister had a guest encounter with him and she said he was so friendly and great to talk to. I hope I get to go to another event with him there because it was sooo much fun!

I was lucky enough to be the first person to speak to Nick on the Friday night – slightly nervous as first convention and never met someone famous before. He was really nice and chatty and kept a large group of people entertained. Really nice on the photos at 9.00 in the morning on the Sat and when autographing. Spookily enough on the Monday after the convention saw John Barrowman at a book signing in my home town after James answering question regarding kissing him in Torchwood.
Thanks to Nick for being a really nice guy.

OMG. That weekend was brilliant. I couldn’t stop smiling all weekend. I shock Nick’s hand, and James. I’ve not washed that hand yet. :] I only had standard ticket so didn’t get a photo, but I got picture signed, and my plaster cast ((I was the younger gal in the weekend, that got in most people’s ways – SORRY.)) I will be keep that part of my cast. I also got James Leary to sign my cast too. I’m keeping that bit too.

Totally going to Santaland Diaries!
I was looking for holiday themed fun things for my husband and I to do this year, and googled Santaland Diaries (We saw it shortly after we began dating, and LOVED it), so imagine my thrill when I find it’s not only playing in the LA area, but XANDER is playing Crumpet (aka, Blisters)?! We are SO there.

hello nick and everyone,
hello Nick and everyone,
I am a French fan and I went with my sister hallowhedon, and I can tell you we loved the nice nick. We found it nice, funny, caring (with us but also with James) … In short nick you’re adorable. You have a beautiful voice even, and I really liked when you spoke in French when you wanted to go outside. There were always lots of people around you and admit that you speak was not easy but as you did us little attention (wink, gesture …) we were happy. At the end of the weekend was finally able to talk to you and tell you we loved listening to you on your blog and you should continue it. In addition we could say we appreciate you very much. Nick you’re a super nice man, charming, funny, caring, generous with your fans, …
I loved this agreement and I am still on cloud nine, thank you nick for the great weekend. You are a ray of sunshine.

As a parent of a 16 year old girl who is obsessed with buffy angel etc, i took her along to hallowhedon, not for one minute expecting to enjoy it, even though i do love the shows, i couldnt have been more surprised, its one of the best weekends, ive ever had, Nick has to be the most genuine man i have ever had the pleasure of meeting, hes so down to earth, and he made the weekend so much fun for everyone,I would love to go again this year, i know its nice to have different guests, but wouldnt it be fun if nick could come back this year, everyone was amazing, what a great crowd of fans, there was a glow of happiness around everyone there, truly a unique experience ,one which i will always treasure
