Nicholas Brendon to star in play, return to ‘Criminal Minds’
What’s ahead for Nicholas? Quite a bit:
– He’ll be starring in The Santaland Diaries at The Blank Theatre Co. from Nov. 20-Dec. 20:
From the theatre that brought you the year-long run of David
& Amy Sedaris’ THE BOOK OF LIZ, THE SANTALAND DIARIES is an outrageously funny one-man play (from NPR’s well-loved humorist
David Sedaris) about the author’s experiences as an unemployed
writer taking a job as an elf at Macy’s.
Visit TheBlank.com for more details, and to order tickets. Click on the jump to see the poster for the play.
– Nicholas will also return to the CBS drama Criminal Minds as Kevin Lynch for not one but two episodes this fall. He’ll be in the 100th episode of the series, which will air ninth this season, and in the 10th episode as well.

Sedaris! The show is going to be brilliant! Wish you well or break a leg or whatever theater people say when they want a successful show. By the way, I remember Nicholas when I was a runner for Complete Post in Hollywood. I would go to “Dave’s World” and pick up scripts and ’4 camera’ videos. Nick said hi to me back around ’93.

New video interview with Nick here ——> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TVoFUaQv10

Ugh. Tired of spamming this site, but the vid did mention that Nick was nervous about the play and wanted encouragement. To him I say, man, don’t be worried about the show. You and David Sedaris are like flipsides of the same funny, self-deprecating coin. You were born to do this. Believe in yourself, Nicky. I’ll be rooting for you.

Hi Em! No worries — you’re not spamming the site. I’d never think to call it that.
I did add a post about the interview, though. After all, Helenna linked here on the YouTube page — I have to return the favor!

If Nick ever brings his one man show to SA I am sure it would be sold out. We have all these new stadiums coming up for the soccer world cup that are going to be need to filled with something else soon.

Nicholas:
I don’t follow Criminal Minds regularly, but would like to see your episodes. Would you post the episode names and approximate air dates?
October 29th, 2009 at 7:23 am
I am living on the wrong coast, clearly. Come to NYC, Nicky!
You and Sedaris–that’s a really excellent fit. I would love to hear that in an audio-only production (like a book on tape), actually.

IMDB has Nick’s new movie shown, Sweet Lorraine. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1527837/.
I WONDER IF FILMING WILL BEGIN AFTER NICK’s PLAY since it says pre-production.
