Nicholas Brendon audioblog update Sept. 4, 2008

Helloooo everybody. It’s Nicky Brendon calling you.

I’m driving home from shooting the Criminal Minds. I got home from Scotland about five days ago, and I just wanted to let everybody know that I had a wonderful time in Scotland. And all of the fans there were wonderful.

So if anybody is listening to this right now, I am driving on the 110 freeway, going through downtown Los Angeles and I wanted to thank you all, and I did promise that I would tell Jenn and Philippa (I hope I’m saying that right), thank you. So clearly, if anybody wants their name mentioned — a mad shoutout — pull me aside and I will madly shout you out.

But yeah, everything is pretty status quo here in Los Angeles. I am about to embark on another little trip. I’m going to go to France for about eight or nine days, to meet my best friend and surf.

My writing partner and I — writing partners and I — have been writing this show called The Damnation Girls, and apparently, from what I understand, Disney has decided to publish it on iTunes. They’re going to be little graphic comics, and I will be voicing one of the characters on it. So, look out for that; I think what I’ll do is, I’ll probably just have Jacqui — Hi Jacqui! — my beautiful webmaster, put a link that can link you right up to it. So, we’re kind of in the final stages of that. So be looking for that, and it will be the first of many things that are published, or on the screen.

So yeah, that’s pretty much it for right now. Like I said, everyone in Scotland was wonderful, and thank you so much for being kind to me. Because I’m a very sensitive individual. This will be short, but sweet. I hope everyone is well. I hope this message finds everybody in good health. And good happy.

So I will be more forthcoming with Damnation Girls when I have more forthcoming information to forthcome. And that is it, so thank you all, and I will be blogging sooner, rather than later.

You know what I should start doing? I should start having, like, a point list of things to talk about. I kind of talk off the cuff — I talk on the cuff, too, but that’s between me and my God. So! I hope everyone’s great, and I will talk at you later! By-ye.

Hey Nicky! I’m so happy to see you’ve updated your audioblog! (I meant to comment on your last one, I just didn’t have time. I’m doing a play and shooting my first movie at the moment. Very excited, but very time consuming!)

Glad to see you’re keeping busy! I’ll be excited to see your return to Criminal Minds and I gotta admit, man, The Damnation Girls (the title alone) sounds awesome! Keep us updated on that, definitely (please). Any news on Supercat?

Hi Jacqui! You rock! (As do you, Nick.)

Well, I gotta take off, but like I said, I’m very happy to see you’ve updated! It brightened my day (which needed brightening.)

Take care and hope to hear from you again soon!

Whoa, Scotland is fantastic. Did you go see Loch Ness? Did the sun bother to come out, even once? And Criminal Minds – Awesome! I didn’t know you were going to be on there (I’ve only just discovered the world of celebrity blogs).

    Hey Nicky!

It’s great to hear from you again and I’m so glad to hear that you had a great time in Scotland. I’m so excited to hear about the “The Damnation Girls” and that Disney will be picking it up for iTunes. I’ll also be looking forward to the new CM episode that you’ll be on.

Right now, they just got finished replacing my livingroom and kitchen floors and painting my livingroom so I feel like I’ve just moved into a new house without all the complications and annoyances of actually moving. Pretty sweet!

Well anyway, It’s great to hear from you and I’m glad to hear that Scotland was fun. Oh! And I hope that you have a great time in France as well and that the surfing will be great there. So, until your next blog take care, have a great time, and I can’t wait to hear from you again. (Hugs)

    Hello,
my name is Eddy Bandell. i am 27 years old from ohio. since 1997 i have been a huge fan of you and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. i collected almost everything i could find, but a few months back i lost everything. that show kept me from going crazy through some really bad years of my life. and now i am trying to get everything back. thats what a true fan does.

my question is, how can i get as many autograph photos of you and the rest of the cast as i can? i want to build my collection again, and this time i’ll do whatever i can do protect what i collect.

i hope that you get this and you can help me out.
    please e-mail me!

    Thank You,

    Eddy.

    Hey Nick! :D
It’s nice to hear from you again so soon :]
I’m glad you had a good time in Scotland.

The first criminal minds episode you were on [I believe it was called Penelope, hope I'm not wrong lol] was on here in Israel last week [yeah, we're a little behind], and I was so excited when I saw you! :D I also called some of my Buffy-fans friends to let them know you are on, so they all tuned in as well :p
Can’t wait to see you in the up-coming episodes as well. :) It’s so great that they keep bringing you back.

I’m also happy to hear about Damnation Girls. Good luck with that! I’ll defiantly be looking out for it when it’s out.

Hope to hear from you soon,
    Michal.

First time at this site, nice blogs, nice layout,ok done sucking up.
Just wabted to say I try to follow everybody that made Buffy so great. But Nick, you’re the man. that show wouldn’t have been nearly as enjoyable as it was without the X-Man there. I mean c’mon, you spat lines out like no other. You gave that show more charm and goofiness, hell I dunno why they don’t have a Chronicles of Xanzer series. We could have you as the army guy again, wondering across the country side, getting into messy spills, taking out pissed off mother inlaws and vampires.

Ok,that being said. Hope all is well. Maybe someday I’ll show up at a comicon, though I ain’t standing in line with 6,000 pair of smelly feet just to say high, sorry X-man,but there are limits. But you get the point. I’d just like to say keep pushing forward, keep having that attitude of dorkiness, cause hell were all dorks and wouldn’t be normal without that side of us. And most of it,don’t be a B.I.T.C….ERR A BITCA? Nah just kidding. Best of luck, keep blazing on,maybesomeday we can hang out and make fun of some of Sarah Michell’s
fake porn pictures that are scattered about the net.

    Have a good one bro.

    MARK.

If you have gotten this far down the page and reading this then you seriously need more work!!!

Glad I found this – link from wikipedia (dear lord I have to admit it…). Yes I love your characters, you are a great actor blah blah blah…. however I am most impressed that you had the balls to stand up and say you had a prob with alcohol. Very proud of you and your achievements (as I know how hard it is to be a performer and battle through this disease). I see you in a whole new light now – all for the better I can assure you.

Damn, I’m going to have to watch the whole Buffy series again…..Now look who needs more work!!
    xx Kari

    Nick,

I’m so very happy you’re doing more Criminal Minds. I love your character. I hope he shows up in more cases. Surely they need his help, don’t they? Two computer geeks are much better than one! Also, I love the romance you’re involved in. It’s very sweet.

Good luck to you. I wish you continued success!

Hey all, new to the site and the Nick experience. I could not be more impressed with him as an actor and a person. Keep it up. I have just dropped $180 on the Buffy seasons and have to restrict myself to one a day or I would get nothing done in law school. The Xander character is by far my favorite.

Hey all, I am also new to this site! I have always been a fan of Buffy and of Xander! I love all of the off the wall stuff he always said! I hope that you continue to do the stuff that you love and enjoy! I actually just recently borrowed all of the Buffy episodes from a friend and re-watched them. I had forgotton how great they were! Nick have you ever considered being apart of the celebrity board for the American Red Cross? I work for the Red Cross and it is such a great organization to be apart of!! Especially with all of the disasters that we have had lately! Think about it! If you want any info please let me know and I can point you in the right direction! Hope that you have fun in France!

    Hope to hear from you,

    Mr. Brendon,

Thank you for taking the time to leave the audioblogs. It is wonderful to be able to hear what you are doing. I’m new to here, had no idea that anyone did such things. I have been a Buffy fan for years. Thanks to DVD still watch it all the time. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for helping your fans keep up with what you are doing. Best of luck to you in all you do. I hope to be able to see and hear more from you.

I hope it is not strange for me to write this to you when you have no idea who I am :) (I’m sure it is but maybe you are used to it)

Somebody mentioned the Snoopy Dance so I just thought I would mention- I was at a dance in which everyone was dancing all sexy and in my attempt I looked just like Snoopy and I thought of you, but your snoopy dance definitely beats mine. :)

    Heya Nicholas,

Just discovered this audioblog, and whoa, was not expecting it. I haven’t seen you in anything since you played Xander, so it was a real flash to the past to hear your voice. But in a good way.

Hope you’re having lots of luck and success and fun and all those other good things.

Btw, love the way you sort of ramble on subjects, ’tis nice to hear.

All the best, and I’m going to try to remember to check here regularly, because you’re awesome and now I’m going to backtrack and find out what I missed you in.

    Hey, boss.

Just wanted to see if you will be making it to any comic cons in 09. I’m a big fan, of course, and it would be great to finally meet you. It’s great news about the comic stuff and that you are keeping busy with guest spots on TV. Would love to see you in a new show full time. Something cool, like Fringe, Bones, Supernatural, or Smallville. Either way…I still think that they should do a Evil Dead remake with you as the star.

Now I’m rambling. Stay cool, young man.

To tell the truth Zander is my fave character of the Buffy series. Your character always makes me laugh, are you that funny in real life? By the way do you know if the animated series will really happen? 0_o? Well I don\’t want to take up to much of your time so ROCK ON and have fun with life!
