Hey, I met you at the weekend at the collectormania thing in Scotland. You mentioned your blogs so I decided to check them out (I've never bothered with blogs before so...I duno). Also just to say that day was the best day ever, mainly cause I met you, got my DVD box lid thing signed and witnessed the snoopy dance in person. Also had a really crap summer so that one good day seems even better.

I mainly wanted to comment on the walkway thing. That really REALLY pisses me off. Though I'm the kind of person that...I can't stroll, I'm a quick walker, so those walkways to me are heaven cause I get to walk even faster and then you see a couple of people side-by-side ahead...grr.

Anyway hope you liked being in Scotland and I'll be checkin' out the rest of your blogs

Hey Nick!

Thanks so much for posting an audioblog; I've been following you for awhile but I just found this site (ten minutes ago) and I'd just like to say that you've made some of my days that sucked much brighter with your acting on the show. Also, I stuttered as a kid and I still stumble and mispronounce when I don't pay attention to what I'm saying, and it's cool to hear you talking and know that your normal (well, normal as anybody can really be), I mean just that you're an actor and you still have human flaws and all that . . .

Okay, I'll stop babbling and being an idiot now :), thanks so much!

(Sorry about what happened to you at the Con by the way :(

Much love and cheer,
Colette

As Dianna said, there is very little to watch on television these days and very few shows have been as fun to watch as Buffy and Angel. I miss getting to see new episodes.....I guess I am a pathetic, middle aged woman myself since I, too, watch my dvd's every day only I watch them while at work. (My husband and I have a small grocery store around the horse farms of Kentucky and being one of the proprietors, I get to say what I do and what I watch....Yeah me!) Anyway, it's amazing how many people in different age categories will come in, hear the television and say, "You're watching Buffy aren't you? I loved that show!" Then naturally, we discuss how great the writing was, the acting, how there was no one star on that show and it was a great ensemble of characters, who our favorite characters were which around here was you, James, Alyson and Charisma and how we would have written the show, etc, etc. I just recently bought the KC DVD's and have been watching them and all the regulars are stunned that I'm watching something different until I tell them, "Nick is on this show...." "Oh" they reply, nodding their heads, remembering that I'm a huge fan of yours. Unfortunately, I did not get to see you on Criminal Minds and have been searching everywhere online to see if I can watch it or download it, whatever but so far no luck. However, I'm sure you were great as always. Oh, and by the way, I love the look....saw you on youtube at the con. I've always loved your hair long. That's why seasons 1, 3, 4 and 5 are my favorites. And speaking of the convention, I hadn't heard or read about what happened and I'm sorry that you were treated that way. I hope that Jensen or Jarrod weren't a part of that in any way other than that being their bodyguards, and if they heard the got rid of them because the only show I have been watching faithfully since Buffy and Angel went off the air is Supernatural, and I would hate to think that they had the big heads, you know? I've always felt that most of the Buffy cast were always down to earth and great with their fans, especially you and I was hoping they're the same way. Speaking of Supernatural, I believe that the creator of Supernatural is a big fan of Buffy because in one episode two characters (who remind you of the evil trio minus one) are sitting around saying something like WWBD....What would Buffy do? Also, they've had Amy Acker, Julie Benz and Amber Benson (who played a vampire) on their show and I was hoping that we might get to see some of the men from BTVS or Angel on there as well in guest starring roles. I really miss seeing you on television every week and I hope that you get a recurring role on Criminal Minds....never watched the show but believe me, if you are on it, I'll watch it. Have a great holiday and God Bless!

Audio blog...very cool idea!!

Congrats on criminal minds. I can't wait 'til it airs here in Australia - I have to admit, I've missed seeing you on the TV. Which is kinda strange considering I still go to bed with you EVERY night - in a platonic, DVD, Xanda kinda way...

Yeah, I know...I'm pathetic! I own the BTVS collection - the whole series and just keep changing the discs night after night - oh, and not any way is it a compulsive, obsessive, over the top, middle aged fan kinda way. I just enjoyed, and still do, the show, humor and characters....

I don't get to read much these days, unless its a text book that is....

Anyways, in fear of coming across like nut - and because I feel slightly like a wanka for leaving messages for someone I don't know....I shall leave it here...

Congrats again and I hope the strike is settled soon and that you get some more air time on Criminal Minds - Here's to you and your success!

Well this is the first blog I've ever read/heard, and it was awesome

I wasn't in Chicago, but I saw you doing the Snoopy Dance on you tube, which made my week. I than showed the clip to my mom, dad, brothers, and best friend... sorry

So, you want to talk books Mr. Brendon, that I can do. I just finished re-reading Anne Bishop's The Black Jewels Trilogy for the millionth time; currently I'm reading the new murder mystery by Donna Andrews The Penguin Who New Too Much; and as Christmas is fast approaching it's time for my semi-annual re-read of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, what can I say, the holidays make me nostalgic.

Since this is my first blog post, I might as well embarrass myself completely by saying: when Buffy first aired I was 8, so I kind of grew-up with you and the rest of the group always being around, and I wanted to say thanks for being there, even though you didn't know it. I'm the youngest of five kids, and the only girl, (that's why my screen name's FiveOfFive, we always used to sound off using out Borg designations, geeky I know), and y'all just made life seem better, or easier when I really needed it, so thanks again and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Ohhh books! I can talk about those....

I loved the first Dexter novel. As much as I didn't want to (I mean, a SERIAL killer as your anti-hero, ffs?) but I did. As unlikable and inhuman as Dexter should be, he was still likable. And I suspect, he's not as inhuman as he tells himself he is. He's certainly warped, and who wouldn't be having witnessed so much murder and violence so personally as a child, but he's not completely detached.

I plan to get the other two books for Christmas, when I don't feel so bloody greedy spending money on myself instead of the kiddos.

Haven't read the other two books you mentioned, but I do have some I finished recently and enjoyed.

American Gods - Neil Gaiman
Devil In the White City - Erik Larsen
The Dresden Files series - Jim Butcher (the TV series was good, but the novels are better!)
The Incarnations of Immortality series - Piers Anthony

HI Nick!
I dont know what to say right now...I am your fan since 1997 and I cant even put in words how much U inspired me, how much U helped me make it through hard times. Your words always gave me strengh.I was really sick for years and I dont know what I would have done without the hope U gave to me. I really want to give U something back and it`makes me sad that I can`t. Don`t U ever change for someone else. Thank U for everything!

Hi, Nick. I only just came upon your site a couple of days ago, and read up on all your old interviews and postings. It's nice to be very slightly aquainted with you as a person - and I'm grateful that you take the time to interact with your fans this way. I'm one of those middle-aged BTVS fans who remains a tad obsessed with the show and the characters. There really has been precious little on TV since that show ended that even comes close to captivating my imagnination the way it did. I'm forced to read books (oh, the horror!) to find worlds I want to escape into. Anyway, you know you were part of a big deal and that it wouldn't have been what it was without you. I'll check back in to see what you're working in, because it's nice for an old lady like me to be able to turn on the tube and see a familar face I have been so fond of for so long. All the very best to you!
