I hope that all the comments left were supportive… Nick needs love and support not comments blaming Joss and others for his problem.

  5. Fashiongrrl says:

    Dear Nick,

I enjoyed watching you on “Buffy,” and you were too funny in “Celeste in the City.” I’m sorry to hear about your bout with alcoholism, and I hope that you and your family are doing well in this trying time. It’s wonderful that you decided to get treatment for this debilitating condition. The hardest and scariest part is admitting that something is wrong; from here on out it can only get better. All of us “Xander” fans are so proud you were so strong and made the decision to get some help. What’s even more special is that you decided to share your struggle with the world, helping other people understand the dangers of alcoholism and know that there is hope out there. I’m a med student, and in the past few years so we’ve learned a lot about alcoholism and how it affects the body, as well as how it affects the psyche. I can only imagine how difficult a time this is for you, but I’m so glad you’ve made this big step. It’s amazing that you’re strong enough and that you have the strong support of your family and friends to do this. I applaud you for stepping up the challenge and having the courage to be so strong in the face of something so potentially destructive. Best of luck and I wish you a safe and speedy recovery. You can do it! We’re all behind you, 100%.

    -Fashiongrrl :)

  10. Reddygirl says:

    Dear Nick
I wish you all the best. Your BtVS “family” is right there in spirit with you every step of the way.

  11. Joanne says:

    Nick,
I deeply admire the strength and self-awareness you have for seeking treatment. It shows you care not only about yourself but your wife, family and friends as well.
My father drank but never admitted he had a problem. It alienated us all from him to the point that it would have been very difficult to trust him and be supportive if he had asked for help. Love and support are important in any endeavor. You have it from those close to you, and I hope you know you have it from people you have never even met.
So take your time. We’ll be here for you.

    Love Peace Hope and Joy

  12. Angela says:

  19. Phoebus says:

Hey Nick, I am an alcoholic and have been sober for two years. I’m 28 now but was 24 when it got out of control. from one with experience one of the hardest things to do is to admit in your heart that you have this problem.
Its so difficult because of the stigma out there (I have no tramp mac and brown bag!). But from this point on I was told it keeps getting better. Its so true. Now i do a program which gives me so much life joy and magic I REALLY don’t want to drink anymore.
It’s a miracle! Also one that now you can help others and ban all that predjudice out there esp for young people. wow! That was a bit of an essay. Anyway Easy Does It, But do it!! xxxx Phoebe

  20. Kathy says:

Nick, I was at the Cleveland convention and was so impressed and touched by your candor and trusting of the fans. Best wishes to you! Xander was brave; so are you. I know your decision will inspire others to make life-saving choices in their own lives.

  21. Jay says:

    Hiya Nick,

I’m sorry to hear about your problem but it’s a great thing you have shared this with others. It will help. Glad you’re doing something about it. Best of luck and be strong.
Hope you and your family are well.

    Take care

    Jay

PS. Love you loads on Buffy! It wouldn’t be the same without you

  22. Erin says:

    Hey Nicky
So glad that you have been finally able to get some help. It must have been hard for you to talk about and it meant alot that you could share it with the fans at Fusion.
I wish you all the luck in the world and I know you will come through this smiling.
    All my love
    Erin

  23. nicky b fanatic says:

    nick,
i loved you on buffy and in celeste in the city. i love all your work. i think it’s fantastic what you do for the SFA. you’ve inspired me to speak out for people who need it, i’m going to kinda be like a spokesperson for the SFA, but unofficially. i wish you the best of luck in re hab and i know you’ll succeed. in the words of the great CORR racer, evan evans, “never give up”
    your fan 4ever,
    amy leonard (nicky b fanatic)

  24. DAND says:

    Nick,
Belive me when I say that I know what you are going through. It took me many years, and many failures to get my usage tamed down to a dull roar. Friends and family are great, but please don’t do it for them. If you do not want to do this for yourself you will fail, and in so doing you will feed the need to self medicate. Good luck with the fight, because believe me you will need it. Peace…Out DD

  25. melissa says:

  26. gorge_nick_fan4eva says:

Hello Nick I know all of your fans around the world will be thinking the same but……. I LOVE YOU NICK i cant explain. I’ve heared about the problem of yours, really my advice would be the same as Sam’s in Buffy {as we were} people do die from your problem, most people keep it to themselves and not tell anyone at all. you have the courage to tell everybody not just your family+friends but also to all us fans the people that love you more than eva no matter what you need help with you will always be our favourite WE LOVE YOU NICK 4EVA
